On my last visit to the casino, I noticed that the AA machines had auto
hold, and a couple of players that I consider very knowledgeable had this feature
turned on. I know that auto hold will not produce the best play all of the
time, but I am interested in the observations of players who are familiar
with this feature. Would you consider turning on auto hold if it were
available, and then overriding the incorrect holds?>>>

For experienced players, auto hold can significantly increase playing speed.
I never ask for it to be turned off when I'm on one (also never ask for it
to be turned on). Need to be conscious of making corrections as it's easy to
fall into the habit of hitting that draw button too fast.

One other caveat, when you're on progressives, the holds which were wrong at
lower RF or SF levels become right at the higher levels. The study of
strategy changes used to be a lot of fun in the days of fast meters.
