August double points

I had a brief email discussion with slotguy.? He made the point that Greektown offers some pretty good plays ( for the Detroit area) so they really don't need to offer double points on vp.? I made the point that double points gives Greektown a shot at my bankroll more so than single points does.? I dropped probably $1500 in June during double points.? I felt like I had a decent play so I played it.? I will play much less in August.

I think slotguy is tied up with the new expansion so he's been a little busy.?

For dollar pick 'em, my choices are a) Greektown with 0.167% CB, b) MGM with 0.167% CB or c) Casino Windsor with 0.1% ( depending on the exchange rate) but with Tier points towards Harrahs Diamond status.

If there were double points, I'd play at Greektown.? With single points, I'll play at Casino Windsor.? Cheap gas and booze at the border offset the toll and exchange.

If I do go to GT in August, it won't be for dollars. Quarters
only. I'll go, play a little bit, then take my comped dinner and
leave. When I risk a bigger bankroll, I want a reward like the other
players around me on the slot machines are getting.
   The dollar progressive bar has killed me this year and put me in
the red. I've been putting my quarter-play winnings (if any) into
those damn prog. machines and have hit very little in return. But no
more.
