Thanks for the report. Interesting but it may take a week to determine if
people are staying away in any significant numbers. Most players do not
monitor the casinos as close as those on vpFREE and as far as the letter
from MS - I just got mine today. I would have gone there tonight but because
I knew of the change, I'm home. I figure lots of people will play, push the
promo button to see how many points they earned and then be surprised that
it is zippo.
On the other hand, habits are tough to break and many will just grin and
bear it. That's what MS is hoping for.
On a side note, I wonder what the stores and restaurants at Mohegan will
think about this once they catch wind of it. I spent thousands in comp
dollars there thus far in 2011. This change is drastic in its significance
and I would not be surprised if these vendors notice a sizable hit to their
revenues in the coming months (assuming this keeps up). MS may try to adjust
for this by sending out more dining and shopping comps, but, of course,
nowhere near what you can earn playing.

I got off the bus at MS and wife was waiting to pick me up to go to FW.
We haven't been there for years. Got our dreamcards.,
Cedar casino has eight $1 9/6 DDB. Bank says bonus poker. You have to put in
10 coins to have full Royal.
In MGM high limiit there are the above and dollar FPJB. You have to put in
25 coins.
Gambled for about 5 hours (lost $600) and now back at MS for the night. A
walk through the high limit revealed many folks at stickered machines. I
don't think a lot of them even saw the stickers. But in general the VP usage
appears to be way down but that's maybe just "sticker shock." 
Wife played $1 PE b4 I got there. She said there were a lot of suits in the
PE area. She thinks they were counting the number of players.
Even slim pick em machines had the stickers!
I know its crazy but playing 99% machine with .3% points feels better than
gambing at $1 PE.
