Attire for Shows in Vegas

people who dress relaxed are bums
I am a professional here in Southern California. I am from a suit
profession--we wear suits every single day --except perhaps part of Friday depending on
our professional calendars. I am required to have substantial annual
education, and attend conventions, lectures and classes to fill this requirement. On
the other hand, I go without mandate to lectures and workshops on specific
issues that interest me. I often find myself in a room of professionals that have
taken the opportunity to get out of their suits to attend a formal lecture.
You'd be amazed at what they wear to relax and listen to prominent experts in
their own field, and meet expert contacts in their own field. I myself usual wear
whatever I wore that day, or if I have the time to change, jeans and a
T-shirt, open sandals, no make-up, etc. Having this experience, I would not judge
anyone at a blackjack table by his or her clothing. I myself, pack casual
clothes to go to Vegas--but usual dress up for a show. You can tell a "bum" by other
than dress.
