Tonight I received a message telling me my Cox.net account would be terminated if I did not go to the web site they provided and update my account information....that was lost due to a data problem on their part. It didn't seem right, so I called Cox.
The message is a scam. Don't go there! This is a public service announcement.

The rule for something like this is never use the link provided in
the e-mail. If you think it may be valid, then go to their site
independent of the e-mail and check your acct.
