Attainingg Tier Levels At MS

The way you maintain a tier at MS seems stupid to me. Everyone has the same six month window. So let's say I attain Wolf level in August. Why would I want to come back in September when if I wait till Oct.1 my points will count towards maintaining Wolf ?
聽聽Am I overlooking something ?

A lot depends on which level you are interested in maintaining. If you are above
Wolf minimum, and close to Sagamore, for example, you might want to use the
double point days in September to boost you up a level for the next period. If
you are content with your earned Wolf, then you could wait. If you want,
however, to maintain or achieve Sachem level, then more than just a particular
number of points figure into the qualification equation. One or two of the
mystery factors could well be number of trips, and average number of points per
day or trip.

Certainly the game is rigged. Don鈥檛 let that stop you; if you don鈥檛 bet, you
can鈥檛 win. -Lazarus Long

I didn't know double point days would double the points counted for tier purposes, only for spendable points.

Yes, the double points earned on Double Point days ALL count towards the next tier level. This is not true at Foxwoods however.

As far as waiting until Oct 1st to start earning points again, I was going to just sit on my already earned Wolf status. But, one point led to another, and before I knew it, I put 400 points (doubled to 800) on my card Tuesday and rocketed to Sagamore status by playing $60,000 through the 25 coin $1 JOB machines at $25 a hand (2400 hands). I played some $1 slot machines also (cover play) and determined the comp rate to be 1.9% doubled to 3.8%.

When I logged into mymohegansun.com the next morning, imagine my surprise by the background colors already changed to Sagamore blue. So I guess my status is upgraded two weeks early. When I checked the Hotel Reservation section from mymohegansun.com, Every weekday standard room for the next 3 months was listed as FREE. Weekends were $300 - $500. I will probably sit on my new Sagamore status until Oct 1st and save my gambling budget for my upcoming trip to Las Vegas!!! Let the El Cortez, Four Queens and Vegas Club and their full pay 25 cent Double Bonus, Joker Wild, and Deuces Wild machines beware. May I not see a Jacks or Beter machine until I get back.

Maybe not - the new Hotel Reservation page has not been working for at least 2
days. A page saying "Routine Maintenance" comes up and directs you to call for
your reservation. 2 days (or more) of "Routine Maintenance" would seem to
indicate that there may be some sort of problem, perhaps it is with the database
linkage between player & price. Or not. We'll see.
