Continuing my perusal of Reno casino home pages, I note that Atlantis
has trimmed back benefits per tier (point requirements unchanged). For
instance, quite a few of the goodies previously at Platinum are now in
the Diamond tier. You might want to take a look for specifics or stop
by the booth for an updated brochure.
Two comments. You could probably see this coming ... at a recent slot
tournament, the line (award buffet) for Platinum/Diamond was longer
than the line for Pfd/Gold and Atlantis has a history of awarding
higher tiers than actually earned. Thus, too many people getting too
many goodies ... can't have that. Second, it's probably a good idea to
periodically check casino home pages for benefit changes. Although
upgrades are announced with great fanfare, downgrades are quietly
implemented ... but the home page should be current.
And now that Harrahs has taken over the casino-world, everyone should
probably get familiar with Total Rewards, which is probably coming soon
to a casino near you. Although benefits (especially cash) are
generally poor, offers are attractive and its home page has a very well-
organized complete explanation of benefits.
