Just got back from Atlantis again, and beginning last Monday, their
video poker Card of the Day bonus has been discontinued, and they now
have an "instant fortune" mystery jackpot (ala Stations casino's
Jumbo Jackpots) that are mystery random jackpots that start at 50K
and "must hit" by 150K. Small "free play" amounts between $5 and $25
are also now randomly awarded (though in 3 days I never got one nor
saw anyone else get one LOL). It's a shame about the COD going away,
as Atlantis used to honor them as multiple bonuses when hit on multi-
play machines.
Also, I tried to find out if Atlantis plans to start showing card
point totals on all machines (since I had found one solitary machine,
still there as of last Thursday) that displays your points when
players card is inserted. In a search for info as well as partly for
my amusement, I asked about 5 different booth personnel at 5
different times, and all but one of them said they knew nothing about
any such plans to show point totals. One of them even didn't believe
me when I told them I found a machine that shows the points,
saying "it must be an anomaly". I left before showing them the
machine, as I'd rather they not "fix" it for as long as possible, so
I don't have to wait in line to find out my point totals LOL. One
booth person thought there are plans to display the points but had no
idea when. Keep in mind at Atlantis the point totals are only
relevant for determining what "tier" level you are at, supposedly not
for comps etc. Though I suspect someone may be able to figure that
out by checking their point totals frequently and trying to find out
what comps they've earned etc.
I'll be visiting Atlantis again in a week or so and will see if I can
learn any more and if the machine is still there that displays the
points. If anyone will be going to Atlantis before then and would
like to know the machine that displays the points, let me know.
Although they could "fix" it any day LOL.
