Atlantis offers

Actually It’s worse at Peppermill.

Let’s say you have been put on no mail status at both due to your AP play. At Atlantis, you can still earn comps & participate in multi-point days with no penalty which means you can also play up to a premium status, just won’t receive any or very few mailers. At Peppermill, due to player-tracking which causes you to earn points at an awfully slow rate, comps & tier points are earned at a glacial rate. I continue to play at Atlantis but not Peppermill for that reason.

and, as you say, for a room the “Peppermill is just down the street.”>

The problem with that logic, as many of us can tell you, is that Pmill pulls EXACTLY the same stunts as Atlantis.

There’s so many casino/hotels in Reno that offer us free rooms. Sierra as an example. We give them very little action and 50% slot play. Jump in the car and at Atlantis in 10 minutes. Taxi is <$20 from downtown if needed for any number of reasons. Harrah’s doesn’t seem to care as long as you give them one day out of three of $20K fair bet action.

At Nugget we give them 95% VP on FPVP and get a free room. That’s a little farther.

Haven’t gone to Peppermill since they started installing AI software that scrutinizes player’s decisions. Think the third generation was installed about a year ago.

Things are moving so fast for AP/fairbet gamblers. We like Atlantis and when we go to Reno will play there but can’t stay there.

If we have to pay for a room it will be the Gold Hill Hotel near Virginia City. <$100 for a room overlooking Gold Hill. Has a working fireplace and a balcony. Virginia City is a highly recommended diversion to gambling. Atlantis in <30 minutes.

Amazing

Closing out my first stay at Atlantis since I they killed my offers 2 years ago (after my first 2 visits, both w/ RF hits). Stayed on a $49/night casino rate (midweek).

Even with the frustrating “winner-averse” behavior, on their part, I can’t help having rather strong affinity for the property. Everything else about the property “works” for me.

Pleased to report that they comped my room upon play review. Unfortunately,I suspect that my $2600 loss on $46k coin-in was a factor ;(
