Atlantis cut off advantage players from offers?

I am vistor, have played there less than one year. Was getting the
invites (comped) to all slot tournys, concerts etc. Was given a platinum
card recently. But in the last month I am getting $199 slot offers and
pay as you go for a Ray Charles copycat. I played about 50k on 2 night
stay there recently. Are they looking for more than this or is it the
fact i've been lucky and havent lost there.

Atlantis rates you based on a longer period than "daily average." Your
overall status is based on how many points you earned during the prior
year, June-June I think. Additionally, I think your total play during
the prior 3 months determines how much free play you get.

If you're a Platinum, you should be receiving all sorts of free offers,
and in addition, you should be able to call a host to get you a free
room etc any time. I'd be pretty certain that if you call a host and
tell them you're not getting deals that you thought a Platinum would
get, they'll fix it. If it doesn't work that way, please let the group
know, as I'll be very surprised.

I never got the sense that Atlanitis is cutting off "advantage
players." After all, the greatest "advantage" you can get at Atlantis
is by playing the high-limit VP progressive when the meter gets high.
Even though that's an advantage to you, it's not a disadvantage to the
casino.

I've never hit a huge jackpot there ($2K royal once, a few $1K+, and
I've done well in their mindless slot tourneys). Having winning
sessions didn't seem to hurt my offers.

Agree ... call to host is in order.

I think most visitors of the advantage-persuasion probably get a
pass even if winning, but locals may not, particularly if they have
a consistent record of beating theoretical losses. You will be
notified if you're "out."

Ummmmm, yeah, there's hella heat right now on video poker players.
Wynn just announced policy of no comped drinks for video poker
players, instead of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi it's the Video Poker Nazi:
"NO VIDEO POKER FOR YOU ONE YEAR!". Of course that's stupid, obviously
you want video poker players to get drunk, it's the penny keno and
slot players that are abusing the drink comps, but it shows the extent
of the current witch hunt. Were you playing mostly video blackjack?
Casinos are a little sensitive about that game for some reason,
probably they think counters can beat it. And, remove the phrase
"Advantage Player" from your vocabulary, when casinos hear that phrase
they consider it justification to use water boarding. Not even great
grandmamas are safe anymore:

I'll second this. You'll definitely, um, be notified.
