Atlantic City

I am taking a short trip to AC thanks to Harrah's junket and I have
a few questions.
1. Since Harrah's doesn't seem to have anything to play, how far a
walk is it to Borgata? Shuttle available? Is it a "safe" walk?
2. Does Harrah's or Borgato have any 9/7 DB or 8/5 Bonus?
3. Is there any place to get machine locations at Borgata; I signed
up for the AC yahoo group, but it has been "pending" for a week. Do
I need to do anything else.

I also plan on playing BlackJack, so any advise there will also be
appreciated.
Thanks, RW.

It is about a 15 minute walk from Harrahs to The Borgata.

You go out the back door of the casino (across from the poker room)
and turn left and walk along the back of the casino (this part is not
very scenic). You will soon see a covered walkway which goes along
the employee parking lot. Follow it to the end and then there will be
a blacktop walkway along the water that is very pleasant and scenic.
When you come to The Borgata employee parking lot, cross the road and
walk along the building until you come to the front.

You can also walk through the large field that separates the 2
properties - this is a little quicker but not much to see except wind
blown trash.

The AC Jitney service is also another possibility, but I don't know
much about these.

Please be advised that you should only attempt this walk during
daylight hours and in a group. AC is not the friendliest place in
the world and the Marina area can be rougher than the Boardwalk.
Also, note that robbery incidents are very high right now in AC.
Casino players are really being targeted right now and this includes
in the hotel hallways, parking garages, etc. You may feel like an
incrediably lazy person getting a cab for 1/4 mile, but for safety
it could be best. If you are in a large group or can handle
yourself, you'll be fine. I would suggest the "scenic" veiw rather
than walking through the "trash field". I don't know about the
Jitney schedule. There web site was lacking. A cab split by a few
people would probably be cheaper.
I am a memeber of acvpp and can advise that there is no database of
games there. You would want to consult the vpFREE DB which the
administrator has already pointed you to.
In the acvpp group you will find : Most people hate Harrahs. Most
folks really like Borgata. Borgata is definately worth a look, as
it is by far the nicest casino in AC (Caesars would be second). As
Liz noted there are $1 JOB at Harrahs and $.25 DBDJ machines. If
you are a $ player, the the $1 JOB @ Harrahs maybe the way for you
to go given the Total Rewards program that you are part of in your
local market. Also note that the Total Rewards program is
frequently awarding 2 - 3 x Reward Credits on certain days of the
month. If you are a quarter player, the DBDJ does pay over 100%,
however the variance is KILLER. I thought it couldn't be that bad
and played for a few hours one night. Owww. It hurt. But all it
takes is the big one to offset it.
Good Luck and be safe.
