Atlantic City (Sands, etc)

I'm making my yearly trip East at the end of June to visit my mother,
& as usual we plan to spend a couple days playing video poker in
Atlantic City.

I've made reservations at the Sands. For the nights of Mon June 30 &
Tues Jul 1, they offered me $59/$79. Seemed like a great deal for AC,
yes? We played a bit of quarter VP there two years ago; I'm not sure
if this affected the offer or it's what they offer everyone.

I'm wondering if there's any decent quarter VP at the Sands. Two
years ago there was triple-play FP JB. Last year, I found nothing.
Currently, "Loadstone's Atlantic City" says there's quarter Jacks-or-
Better, but Skip's "Fullpay in the East" page doesn't. Does anyone
know?

If nothing good at Sands, then I guess we'll go to Caesars, since
Lodestone lists quarter JB. Skip lists no quarter JB, but does list
quarter All American, which I'd happily play too.

Anyone have first-hand info on what's available for vacationing
quarter players at Sands, Caesars, or nearby? Big thanks.

At the sands there are a few JoB in .25 & up. Caesars has JoB in quarters that has a progresive royal. The AA's are gone. -Russ --- In vpFREE@yahoogroups.com, "randomstu" <sresnick2@a...> wrote:

Where is the .25 JOB located at Sands? I know the one machine they had last
year was moved.

The Sands also has .25 $aces/aces$ 8/5 bonus and I think some reg 8/5 bonus.
They have two .50 JOB upstairs. With the Sands you will at least get same
day cash back.

Bally's has .25 Pick'em and 4 banks of .25 8/5 bonus triple play with
progressive (two banks in Park Place and 2 in Wild West.) They also have a
bank of .25 8/5 Dbl joker with progressive.

You will find the Caesars .25 JOB progressive at the bottom of one of the
escalators near the craps tables. Those machines have a fast meter and are
fast slant tops which print a ticket when you cash out.

I might be wrong about the .25 JoB. The one I played might have been
a .50 machine. -Russ

There is currently one .25 JOB at the Sands. The machine was brought
back into service several months ago, and moved again just recently.
Considering the Sands' frequent realignments, it's no sure bet to
survive until your visit in late June. At the moment, it's located
on the lower level, close to the table games, not far from the front
entrance on Pacific which is now where the busses let off. I believe
there is some FP BP in the same bank. The previously mentioned
Caesars quarter progressive is a definitely a good one and worth
checking out.
