Atlantic City Questions

I would be intersted in this information as well so please post to the group. I have looked at the database but it really does not help with comparing the various properties. I could join the AC group but this will probably be a one time trip.

"We are 7*, go to Caesars Las Vegas 8-10 times a year, but have never been to
Atlantic City, or any other Harrah's property outside Las Vegas.

We're planning our first Harrah's 7* trip, and are considering Atlantic City
for a change - either at Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's, or Showboat or maybe a
combination of two.

We like to stay at fairly nice properties, prefer $1 9/6 JOB or NSUD, and
want to really experience Atlantic City. We would appreciate any information
regarding:

1. VP inventory.
2. The Properties (rooms, casino, Diamond Lounge, etc.)
3. Restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc.

You may e-mail me privately if you prefer. Likewise, we would be happy to
share any information we have on Las Vegas, and specifically Caesars Palace."

Here's my experience. You can find $1 9/6 JOB at Harrah's, Showboat,
and at Caesars, although the number of machines is fairly limited at
Harrah's. There are lots of 9/6 machines at Showboat, although it is
not as nice a casino as Harrah's - haven't played at Caesars yet.
I've never seen any NSUD, although that doesn't necessarily mean that
there isn't any. I think in general, the best game you'll find in AC
tends to be 9/6 JOB.

I really like Harrah's. It's at the marina rather than the
Boardwalk, but between the free shuttle and the inexpensive jitney,
it's very easy to get to the Boardwalk. If you were going during the
summer, when things are really hopping, you'd probably want to stay
on the Boardwalk. I have never stayed at any property other than
Harrah's, but I'm going to try Caesars this summer or late spring if
I can get a comp or a good rate.

I've been in the Diamond Lounges at Harrah's, Bally's, and Showboat.
In general, the lounges in AC are nicer than the lounges in LV. They
are larger and more comfortable, and have a much larger selection of
food, especially hot food. You could actually do a light dinner at
most of the lounges.

As for entertainment, I saw Art Garfunkel at Harrah's last year.
Beyond that, I don't have a lot of knowledge. A reasonable number of
shows come through, but not the number you're used to in LV. Some of
the best entertainment is just the whole Boardwalk experience.

Don't expect Las Vegas. AC is a beach town with some casinos. I've
never been able to go during the summer, so I'm looking forward to
trying it this summer.

Hope that helps.

Harrah's AC also has a 7* Lounge.
