We live in Ct and go to AC about two times a month for at least 25
yrs. This is what we see. Major construction and updates of the Steel
Pier and the surrounding areas , including all new top line outlet
stores on Atlantic St. New Tiki beach bars on the beach ,with food ,
bands and dancing with views of the ocean. A very clean boardwalk
filled with nostaglia and patrolled by police on bikes and on foot.
Great shows , great food , good comps and have never seen any trouble
at all . We found a casino is a casino is a casino. 10% of the
population you meet have the right to be rude , mean , grouchy or
whatever , thats life. Are you happy in your work every minute of
every day , especially dealing with the public ??? We've been to LV
twice and enjoyed it, but it has its downsides also . You can't walk
20 feet without some freak trying to stick porn in your hand and the
cards are all over the street. We like the Showboat & Ballys
buffets , but we will also go down St James St to a little bar called
The Irish Pub and get a great soup/sandwich or dinner for a great
price with cheap drinks, so its whatever YOU like !!! Ask around when
you are there, experiment different places. Ballys has a great indoor
pool with about 4/5 hot tubs , bar , sauna , steam room that are free
if you stay there. The Tropicana is as nice as most LV hotels with a
huge mall , restaurants , etc. Don't miss it . The Xmas show is great.
The whole AC area is expanding up and over Pacific Ave to Atlantic Ave
