Hi, everyone, I need to make a decision today, & I'd appreciate
input.
I stayed at Bally's A.C. Fri night. The VIP dept (or whatever they
call it) had told me they were sold out, but when I asked to speak
to a slot host, she looked at my play (good play at other
properties, probably $5-$10K once or twice a year at Bally's A.C.)
she gave me a comp. Stayed there & hit $1255 on the 3-play bonus
poker. Also put in $6K at the $1 JOB at Showboat. Talked to the same
Bally's host & she set up a return trip for Tues night (tomorrow).
I'm debating between just using the comped Bally's room for Tues
night, or trying for Showboat. The Bally's advantages are that the
host has been good about setting up these free rooms, & picked up 2
buffets on the Friday trip (I'd estimate about $10K play). Their $1
JOB is progressive, the quarter 3-play BP is nice for variety &
lower variance. The 3-play dollars in the High Limit, JOB or double
joker, are nice to take a shot at, though it's a little over my head
financially. And Caesars nearby has got a business center where I
can get on the net to print my boarding pass etc.
On the Showboat side... I just recently got Harrah's Diamond in a
Day, & am kind of itching to see what it gets me. Maybe if I call a
Showboat host I have a shot at a free suite upgrade or something?
It's something new to try, & I think their buffet is likely
superior. It'll put me on the road to staying Diamond for next year.
Main thing is that their $1 JOB are comfy slant tops, not
progressive, but SO much easier to play for over an hour or so than
Bally's non-high-limit machines.
So I'm just looking for anyone who has experience at both to give me
any advice to tip the balance. Thanks.
Stuart
