Atlantic City, Caesars & Bally's

I'm going to visit family in Philly late April. Will be spending a
night or two in Atlantic City. Since I do this pretty much every
year, I've got mailed offers for a free room at both Caesars & Ballys.

I'm figuring I'll use the Caesars comp, because I'll be gambling
along with my mother, who seemed to really like the JOB quarter
progressives at Caesars last year (a bit moreso than Bally's pick'em).

I'm wondering if anyone has any further information (food, rooms,
offers, etc) that I should know before making a final decision on
which place to stay & play.

Like I said, I do this every year, but haven't yet established a
relationship with any casino. First we stayed at Showboat, but they
took away their full pay double jokers. Then we stayed at Sands, but
they took away their triple-play quarter JOB. We stayed at the Taj
one year where the poker room is great, but their was no decent
quarter VP for my mother to play while I played cards.

Maybe Caesars will keep their inventory stable for a while & we can
make that our casino for a few years. (Both Caesars & Bally's are in
the Park Place system, right?)

Thanks,

Stuart (RandomStu)

My wife and I have stayed at Ballys and Caesar's, and we like the rooms better at Caesar's. Just make sure you get in the new Centurian tower or the Ocean Tower. The older rooms are noisy if you like to sleep late.
Stay out of the Park Place side of Bally's for eating. Their buffet is awfull and the service at Animation's really stink's. The restaurants on the Wild West side are pretty good. So are most of the place's at Caesar's. For gourmet, I'd go with Luna's at the Claridge. It's good food and not too expensive. Stay away from their coffee shop.
With the new Connection Card, you can use comp's you earn at one place to eat at another. You get cashback at Caesar's but not at Bally's unless you bet more than two bucks a spin.
   Have fun and good luck.
