I've seen this happen all the time and Siena's changes are not to be
unexpected.
The coin in is now $21 per 1 point, a significant revision from the
previous $14 per 1 point. As a result, cash-back is slashed to
0.0476% or 4.76 basis points versus the prior 0.0714% or 7.14 basis
points, respectively. Comps is now ABOUT half of the 0.67% or 67
basis points listed on the database.
Based on the drastic reductions, I suspect a lot of Platinum and Gold
Charter members will lose their respective status in the next
evaluation, which Siena states occurs every 6 months, since
significant more action is required to maintain the status quo.
Cheers.
