Arrest of an "Advantage" Gambler

There is certainly nothing illegal about looking at a dealer's hole
card if the dealer is sloppy enough to expose it. This has been
decided by court case long ago.

What makes this particular case stand out is that the player was
charged for disorderly conduct because he asked the casino patrons to
call the police as he was being hauled away by the casino security
goons. This was totally absurd, and the judge was right to throw out
this conviction. If I ever get abducted by some crook, I hope the
police don't come and arrest me for yelling out for someone to call
the police!

Over the last few years, casinos have been getting more and more
agressive with advantage players. You would think that this kind of
treatment would have gone out in the 70s, but it hasn't.
