It is an excellent deal if you live next door to the casino, but if you have
to drive a fair distance to pick up your cash back every day, it sucks.
Sorry, but in this 100 degree plus heat, with no covered parking and what
parking there is, dog eat dog, I don't think this deal is as good as it sounds.
In fact it is a way for ACD/B to get rid of their normal cash back. In fact,
they have done away with cash back I was told by a host (C.J.). You have one
year to cash what you had in.
There will be a lot of "breakage" ( non pickups of cash back) so the casino
will probably benefit greatly. Those that are able to dog it, will reap the
benefits, and granted they are considerable goodies, but if you have to go out
of your way, then that task should be considered: so is it worth it? I
personally think not.
Those who only have VP in their lives should reap great rewards. Those of us
who have other things, like cleaning house, visiting families, shopping, car
maintenance, lunch with friends, exercise programs, art classes, the daily
have to get dones, etc. may find it not worth the major effort to get to the
Charlie's casino five days a week. I personally have about four hours (sometimes
less) a day max for gambling along with other activities. I have four or
five casinos we regularly play at. Charlies was one.
Travel time has to be taken into consideration and it is a considerable
amount of time getting from Casino A to Casino B. For Example, Lake Mead and
Rampart (closest to my house) to Alta and Decateur AC), pick up cash back, then
Decateur to Lake Mead to Fiesta to pick up bounce back and get in some play time.
Lots of miles and gas consumed. Not to mention horrendous heat to encounter
in and out of car. Lots of water consumed also this time of year.
In closing, IMHO, when evaluating a new cash back system that appears to be
a good deal, you need to factor in a lot of other values before determining if
the deal is really that good. I prefer the cash back that accumulates over
time. Cash Back that has no deadline for cashing in.
Some may ask, am I going to check it out, yes, I am. We already put 5,000
points on my card yesterday and we will put 5,000 on Stan's later this week.
That will entail at least two trips next week, earning us a total of $15 each
day we go back, or $60 total for both. If we went every one of the five days,
it would be $75 each total. I might also mention that there are no tiers
between 1,000 and 5,000 points, it is an either or situation. There is a big
difference in playing time between 1,000 and 5,000, we used to give them 2,500
points each per visit and reaped $25 each on Saturday plus cash back and comps, I
really liked that a lot. We always went on Saturday and got it all done.
