Argosy/Empress - No Admission

Actually, the bill awaiting the governor's signature in Illinois rolls the tax back to 50%, but the casinos promise to make up any drop in tax revenues for next year only.

Actually 70% on win over 200MM/yr. and no they have not. As I said about a
week ago, the politics related to gaming in IL is a bad joke!

Did Illinois drop the %75 gaming tax yet?

I bet this is in response to that, if it happened.

Huh? The rollback is undoubtedly in response to threats by the casinos
to abandon operation in Illinois. Having gotten the rollback
concession why would they agree to "make up any drop in tax revenues
for next year only" ?

Not that any of this really matters because Indiana's casino tax is
still substantially lower. I doubt the rollback will dent Indiana
casino attendance in any way.
