Subject: Are the "experts" smarter than me?!
I've seen countless columns, books, and postings here on VPFree
from "experts" who matter of factly reference regularly playing
negative-expectation games at high denominations.
You have gotten a lot of good replies already. I would just
like to add that with today's shrinking opportunities you have to be your
own expert. Gone are the days where buying one book or doing one
activity is going to match you any where near the "experts" who
are getting more and more of their profit percentage from activities not
made public and are often more associated with comps, bounce back,
personal considerations, etc., than game skill.
You have to really know your gambling situation so you can compare
it to the "experts" who seem to be getting more return and see
if they are even in the same ballpark as you.
Could I generate 70 bucks more in offers by playing $5 for an hour?
Yep might only be for acouple of hours but do you take what you
think your freebies of are worth and move it from your vacation
budget to your gambling bankroll? Would I still be gambling if
I actually had the bankroll for a 1% ROR to do this would I still
be gambling? Only if my wife could not find a baseball bat.
Now it seems that even to evaluate Vegas for the best
way to get near free vacations you need to be able to evaluate
any business and if your worried realistically about getting
the absolute best percentage you have the skills to be doing something
which pays a lot more with a lot less variance and the money to
be your own boss. Be doing it for the fun of it first put in how
much fun making money is to you second.
