Aquarius Offers

Anyone getting any kind of offers from the AQ? I gave them some decent action on two different trips late last year. I thought 10K/day coin in would get someone's attention, but alas only one offer: $29.95 per night weekdays only.--- P.U.

On another subject, I talked to Terry aka: Bluestreak,GRAYTLEEGRAY on the phone yesterday. He is alive and well and computer-less still. The bright side is he said he is getting a lot of work done around the house. He will be in Laughlin next week. It sure seems a lot quieter around here without his input. He said to say hello to all- so my job is done.

Played maybe $200 last March-- called for NCAA weekend his year-- river room for $17.50 both nights---

I do get continuous room offers and booked two room nights
last month (President's Day Weekend). I only used one night,
but the second night made checkout time easier. Casinos
prefer a minimum of 2 nights, but I complete all of my play
in one "slot day" on any 2 night stay. "Boothling" could not
tell me the "slot day" at Aquarius (they did not know that
term). You probably can always be safe if you play 6:00 AM
until midnight in any calendar day.
I put a little over $10,000 play and then asked to see a
VIP host. There is a separate host room just right of the
front entrance. I spoke with Debbie Hibbeler-Smith. The ACE
Club has no information and essentially you just earn cashback
and comps that they can just verify and help facilitate.
My main reason for seeing a host was to learn more of what
is available and what play is expected. She was informative,
but the main point that I learned is that they will be going
to a tier card system in the very near future (like maybe
April or May). At that time benefits and play expectation
will be a little more clear.
She looked at my play and saw that I had play a little over
9 hours and that was important! She also saw that I had played
mostly $1, but some $.25 and a little Multi-Strike at something
less than a quarter. The denomination level was also important!
I got the feeling that similar play over a few trips would
qualify me for host comps. They give both Limited and Full
food and beverage cards something like the Belle and Edgewater.
Limited includes the cafe and buffet and Full comes with the
Outback Steakhouse. Aquarius has many private food vendors
that cannot comped (at least on their food cards). I use to
receive and enjoy the Belle/Edgewater food cards, but the those
casinos no longer get any of my play since downgrading the VP.
I believe the few "Optimum" plays are ridiculous for comps and
getting in enough play on any one trip for much VIP treatment.
The Aquarius seems like a viable new option. I use to usually
get boat suites at the Belle, but other rooms were always disappointing. All of the Aquarius rooms are now remodeled.
The room size is the same, but furnishing are now upgraded.
No more 13" TVs from the 70's!
After we talked, and just before leaving, I did ask for a
food comp based upon that one day's play and at the levels
mention. I asked for a food comp for 4 in order to treat some
friends, but she could only give (an did) a $20 food comp.
I used my food comps and that "host comp" for 4 buffets before
leaving town.
Obviously, we all do miss Terry contributions. If it was
only a computer he needed I have an old one I could donate.
I am afraid it is probably a "high speed provider" that he
is mainly missing. However, I will express my thanks to the
others that do keep this group informed.

Thanks for the response. I really think there is some kind of screw up with my account. I originally tried to sign up as a newbie at the AQ, for that great first day play offer, but somehow they dug out that I signed up for a stratosphere card about 10 years ago (no play since)... not qualified for the first day play bonus. I did use up all my comps with a nice meal at the Italian place (used to be called Alta Villa). Since my play in Laughlin I have received some decent offers from the Strat in Las Vegas (free upgraded rooms, free play, show tickets etc.). I think my play in Laughlin is showing as play in Las Vegas? I think a trip to see a host is in order for my next trip.
