April Promos/Observations

Hello Fans,

Time for another walk down the river.

CB/EW- it looks like they are going to do the "Eat for a Buck" promo in
April. Check the Entertainer for the ad.

Riverside- they indeed tweaked the 3rd anniversary Casino West double royals
promo. It is just "King of Clubs". It will last through April if needed.

RP- doing the $1k Tues/Thurs slot tourneys through April 20th, top ten cash.
Need 75 points ($375 coin-in) the day before. The kiosk promos for Mon/Weds
are easier. Just $100 coin-in during the previous week. The strong Friday
Young at Heart promo continues, 250 points to qualify.

Looks like new menus for all three restaurants.

[Congrats to Joan for being a daily $300 winner in March in the Winner's
Wharf drawing]

Harrahs- looks like they quit rearranging the furniture. They had some new
Williams/WSOP VP. Crummy base paytables, but some sort of bonus rounds
feature. The coffee shop should be open soon. The Diamond lounge ripped out the
carpet for tile.

Pioneer- not much new, which is OK. Still doing the $5 extra-play for new
sign-ups. Still fun free tourneys Wed-Fri. Still CODs and 3x points/comps
days. Pick-up a calendar or check online. River Rick wasn't moving his arms last
trip.

Golden Nugget- working on a new pit area. Putting on a permanent roof for
the outside part of Joe's Crabshack. Loooks good with old rotary fans and light
fixtures. Harlows coffee shop is overpriced and no slot club deals. Sure
miss the $2.99 breakfast special and the $5.99 T-Bone.

Kokopellis/EW-opened for the cowboy weekend, $12 a head for a tribute show.
Tickets sold at the slot club. Don't know if you can use comp points. Indeed
some more VP bartops were installed in the sportsbar from the Oasis bar.

Remember, the River Run is April 26-30th. Some great tunes up and down the
river but you have to be a special person to enjoy the masses/noise/fumes.

GRAYTLEEGRAY did you see the "Eat for a Buck" CB EW promo
in the online edition of the Entertainer (If you did perhaps you
can direct me to the link) or perhaps it was in their hard copy
edition? I'll be going down there next week on the 11th so I'd
appreciate more information.

Just got back - this is the scoop. Earn 20 points same day, but it takes 40 to redeem. Add a buck and you get breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Ok thanks Jigger for bringing me up to date on that. Now I
recollect (from previous visits) that it really isn't anything new,
rather a recurring promotion I've seen advertised there before.
