APDW

I have Bob Dancer's strategy cards and was wondering which strategy to use when playing APDW. I have his Full Pay Deuces Wild card and his NSU Deuces Wild card. I had Jean Scott's software on my computer and I could change paytables and print strategies but our computer crashed and I lost it and have not purchased another vp software program yet for our new one. Is there a website available that has the strategy for APDW? Thank-you.

Do you still have the disc? If so, you can re-install it in your new computer.

When I first ran into this game a few years ago, I wanted to make up a sheet
just showing the changes to make to the regular 16-10 version of NSUD to
play the APDW 15-11 version, because she already had a pretty good grasp of
NSUD. These changes should get you the bulk of the gain in return. I'm
going to attempt to paste that sheet into this note. If anyone notices
anything hinky about it, please let me know.

You can try the free website vpgenius.com, there you can create any paytable you want and it will give you the strategy.

After reading what I just pasted, I thought I might add further
clarification.. or further confusion. When something is ingrained in my
head I sometimes neglect to transfer it to paper properly.

APDW CHANGES TO NSUD

NO DEUCES
2 CD STFL OPEN w 1 GAP OR AT LIMIT
ST PEN & MORE THAN ONE
SUIT IN DISCARDS IS > REDRAW

First, this should state for accuracy,
2 CD STFL OPEN, 67-9T. What I am trying to state about 1 gap here is, say
with 78 suited, a T would be a 1 gap straight penalty. There are some
exceptions to this where you can play a hold with an adjacent one, but the
explanations and minimun discards rules become too complex for such a
trivial error.

3 STFL w 1 GAP 2-57-2-9J > 3 W.R. A HI

My abbreviation above mean 3 wild royal, ace high.

2-67s > 2-JK or QK BUT < 2-TK

An easier way to state the above is, choose the 3 STFL draw if one of the
two honor cards in the potential w.r. draw is not a straight penalty to the
STFL draw. If it is, choose the w.r. draw.

What is the full name of this game? I have never heard of APDW. I am assuming it is a Deuces Wild Game. Where is is located?
