Anything new in KC VP ?

Hello,

Last time I was in KC ( December and January ) Harrah's was ripping out all the video poker machines, and the Ameristar was pretty barren, and I couldn't find any 9/6 JOB at Argosy. Lucky Lucy said there were some dollar machines in the high limit area. I haven't been to Isle of Capri in years.

How is KC VP looking? Is it any better than 25 cent 8/5 and Dollar 8/6 JOB at the Cherokee casino in Tulsa?

I prefer multi-denomination machines so I can change between quarters and dollars, any of those with a decent pay table?

Sorry, I can't help you much. I'm at AmeriStar KC right now and I
haven't seen anything to alter in your description as "barren".

I tend to try to steer away from the Oklahoma casinos so can't help
you much there either.

Just not holding my breath and wish I could, for the Kansas casinos to
open up. If they "do it right", maybe we will end up with some good
games in this area.

I haven't taken a trip to KC in a while myself, but speaking of
Cherokee in Tulsa/Catoosa things are changing. Back in the white
balloon area (Country and Western Section) there are only 3 single
line, two 3-10 plays and one spin poker. The center section (oldest
section) has been cut to about 9 machine w/o counting the bar tops
which have the 8/5 quarters, 8/6 dollar pay tables.

A lot of the "New Casino" side machines have been removed and
replaced with penny Bingo slots (Class II). I guess Video Poker
isn't as profitable as the Class II games to the Management. I find
myself searching for machines more than looking for Royals.

Beware of the "Twisters" bar machines as they have the only reduced
paytables in the whole house. I was hoping that folks would complain
about the loss of Video Poker but there are too many "Gamblers"
playing the pennies for management to care about larger coin in
machines.
