Anyone still here?

There are a lot more multiplier days than there used to be, and they're
better. If they don't end up backing you off--something for which
Nugget doesn't have a reputation, but certain other Reno casinos
do--there'll a bit of a play there. It's going to be hard for them to
criticize players for playing mostly on multiple point days, because
there are so many of them. But ya never know. Yes, being able to
convert points freely to free play is very helpful. The rates at which
points accrue are really hard to figure out, and may not be the same for
everyone. YMMV.

The bad news is that I have reliable information from staff that mailers
(including free play, food coupons, and hotel offers) are now based
largely on ADT. Every time you claim free play, it generates a trip.
And free play is now being broken down into four monthly installments,
instead of two, probably topping out at smaller individual installments
than in the past. So unless you play a ton four times a month, you're
not going to be able to take advantage of all that free play without
ruining your ADT, and getting crap offers in future months.

<< Anyone try out Siri's? Have they got the slot club up and running yet? >>

Still no slot club. I asked about this many weeks ago, and staff said
they would be putting in a club, but still no card readers and no club.
I'm not holding my breath. FWIW, they have 99.54% 9/6 JOB, 25 ct., 50
ct., $1, and 98.91% Ugly Ducks, $1.

<< (Are all the Jacks at Siena cut to 6/5 yet?) >>

Siena has progressively got worse. But what they have now is 98.58% 9/5
JOB $1-2 single play, $1-5 3, 5, and 10 play, and $1-2 Spin Poker. The
rest is mostly or all under 97.50%. The last time I was there, I think
that the 98.91% Ugly Ducks, $1-2, had disappeared, but I didn't look
absolutely everywhere. The 98.98% 9/6 DDB, $1-2, may also be gone, I
didn't check.

I don't want to go into too many details on the board. If you have more
questions, feel free to send me
email.

Much appreciated, WRX  (look for me to follow up privately when I have some spare time … lots of travel lately)

Generally speaking, this group has grown unfortunately silent. Obviously, we all have info we want to keep under our caps, but there’s a lot of general casino happenings that bears some general discussion/observation.

Of course I’m writing from the perspective of an out-of-market player who only gets to town 2-4 times a year.

Anyway, thanks again!

Harry,

Wife and I just went to JAN over the weekend after taking a few month hiatus.

Of course we are “24 Karat” card holders, so we called up VIP services and spoke to our “host” (Betsy ::eyeroll::slight_smile: and she was able to get us in our usual Petite (Spa) Suite, comped. (again, ::rolleyes::slight_smile:

Your “special” machine is still there, however it has been moved, but still close by, and you’ll need the machine # to identify which one was your “lucky” machine.

Here is an update for VPFREE2.com:

Comp ratios were still the same, and I did some cocktail napkin math…

I HAVE heard of the 86’ing of players who were “advantaged”, but I honestly don’t know to what extent it would be…

The mailers ARE now “monthly” rather than being “bi-monthly” or even “quarterly” like they were before.

There is no difference in “tier” points vs “comp points”. So, in theory, you could only play once per month on a 4x points day and put in $5k and get to 100k per year (which = $1000 in “comps”; which would get you their “24 Karat” card)

However, I’m guesstimating you’ll want to do $15k coin-in once per month to get their top mailing for slots, which again I’m guesstimating (used to be $175x2 per month, but I’m going to say it’s now $75x4).

However, if you were “lucky” you could earn 2% in points on your $15k PLUS the $75 bounce-back, PLUS get a free 24-hour buffet pass + Massage + Salon Treatment…

So if you were to put the time in to go once per month, it might make it a DECENT play.

I still check in here once a week. Will be in Reno in October. Does anyone know if the Silver Legacy still has those 98% payback slot machines? Thought I might give them a try when I’m not playing FPDW or DW.
Otherwise I will play the Nevadan slots at Cal Neva.

They have 97.3% machines.
