Anyone on an NCL Cruise Ship Lately with VP reports?

I'm traveling on the Norwegian Jewel next week and I know VP is
usually bad, but I just keep dreaming that something is there

I had a report from a friend on the New Year's sailing of the Jewel --
we're talking typical 6/5 Jacks. But, I believe he reported a
progressive meter ($1 denom?), so there's always a chance of a good
opportunity.

I've seen discussion elsewhere that the "Liberian CCC" likely doesn't
restrict the ships from resetting meters between salings, though
On the other hand, if you're a reasonably skilled BJ player, it sounds
like there could be some good play available.

Look forward to a fine cruise! The friend reports that, as one would
expect from a ship recently out of dry dock -- newest in their fleet,
that the ship is truly in "ship shape" form.

We taking the same cruise the week of Mar 19. So be sure to drop a
trip report by privately, ok?

Ok ... thought I'd better be more thorough and check notes ...

The report was $1 8/5 Jacks, 7/5 BP. Other 96%-98% games were alluded
to. Jump to $5 and you're treated to 9/5 Jacks. No notes on prog.

Harry,
I don't have your email.

Lisa and I just returned yesterday from a 7-day Eastern Caribbean
cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. We had a great time and enjoy
"freestyle cruising".

Best VP we found: $1 8/5 JOB with progressive RF. This was over $4600
at the start of the cruise, and the 50c and 25c progressives were also
not reset. After losing more than she'd like to remember, and against
my advice, Lisa hit the $1 RF for over $4800. This recovered almost
all of our combined losses.

The 25c and 50c progressives had much worse payscales, but the 50c was
over $2700. Someone hit the 25c RF on the last night. Resets are to
4000 coins.

The only other payscale we saw that was in the upper 98% range was 7/5
$1 Super Aces on a single SpinPoker.

Lisa's heavy play, and my playing for fun (mostly at the Blackjack
tables) earned us $600 toward our bill. Most of this was from the slot
card. Some was from comps. We're not sure whether the comps were due
to being on a free cruise from LVH or from table play. It's confusing.

We were told that the Dawn and Star have bigger casinos than the
Jewel. However, we greatly enjoyed our cruise on this beautiful new
ship. The food was good, but not great. We enjoyed Tsar's Palace,
Cagneys, and Mama's Kitchen the most. I won a free dinner at a
specialty restaurant from a free spin in the casino. The shows were
moderately entertaining, but not great. The service was outstanding
with a friendly attitude by almost all the staff. Our shore excursions
were interesting and memorable, but again not great. We did simple
things like historical tours, etc.

Mostly, I did what I wanted and needed the most, which was to relax
and forget about work for a week. I go back in this afternoon to a
backlog of stress and will probably be hoping to escape again soon.
