Anyone know the ER of ACE$ Bonus Poker

a different strategy from

Bonus Poker. That hand is aces-full with the 3 aces in correct position.

But...what about an AK hand, Ace in position , with Ten penalty, no flush penalty?
example: Ac Kd 5d 8d Ts ( assumes ACES$ starts with a club ).
Of the 44 Aces possible from 178,385 hands ( using Winpoker hand analysis ) , I figure 1.83 is an ACES$ hand , for an additional 6588 coins. That's enough to make Ace alone, the best play, boosting the EV for an aces only hold from 2.359 to 2.396 versus the conventional best hand of AK 2.383 !
Have I made a mistake in my calculations ?

Tomflush,

You are correct. I was using the default strategy setting (there are 3)
which is simple strategy. Now that I am looking at the penalty setting I
also see that IGT was correct with 99.41%. WVP shows 99.4065% in penalty
mode.

Good stuff, Tom. Would I be correct in assuming that the same is true
if the A is also in card position 2, as spelling ACE$ is possible here
as well?

In general, this would hold for any ACES$ possible hand ( A in position, T, (j/q/k ) no flush penalty). But beware, sometimes the AK hold is still the better play:
Ac Kd 5d 8d Ts --> here, Ace alone since the King interferes with ACESX
Kd Ac 5d 8d Ts --> here, KA hold , since I can still spell XACES regardless of the Kings position.
