It seems that if you play with at least a moderate pace on 25c video poker
or higher, you should get a comped drink every 15-20 minutes. The
Cosmopolitan has a similar system with drink tickets that spit out from the machine
periodically.

I have read that Ceasars and MGM properties are putting on there machines
a indicator as to when you have played enough video poker to receive a
drink. I do not play at their properties much but would be interested in
knowing how much you have to play or any other details. I have heard for now is
only at the bars. I like playing at bars and getting drinks and am
worried. Only good I see is maybe good games will come back to the bars if they
lose less money on drinks but not holding my breath on that.

Thanks for the article. If they are not totally chintzy I have no problem. I go to Vegas a couple times a year and usually bet a sports game, sit at the bar like upstairs at the D, El Cortez, Main St, Plaza or Olreans that have 99%+ at a bar. Hoping maybe the Palms now that they are a Station casino. I am not pressing buttons constantly but I play 5 quarters look at game on TV and repeat. I would like to keep the drinks flowing with $1 tip. Big value to me. I think if it is about the players I am skirting the edge of there target but maybe not. The casinos that are doing it seem to have bad games at bars anyway or high minimums. Article I read Here's why you may not get free drinks in Las Vegas anymore http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/la-tr-las-vegas-no-free-drinks-caesars-mgm-20161019-snap-story.html

Does anyone know what happens if you play substantially above the minimum speed to get a free drink? Does the system known that you are ahead so as soon as you get one drink does the system say that you can get another drink immediately? I don’t drink much when playing but sometimes my wife might drop by when I am playing and I will order two drinks at once. Never a problem in the past but I wonder how the system will handle that situation. It seems that in the systems that dispense vouchers there would be no problem but I wonder about the “green light” systems.
