I am going on holiday to Marrakesh in Morocco. I was amazed to discover
that The Casino Mamounia has Video Poker including "draw poker, joker
wild poker, white hot aces". I suspect the pay tables wont be great!
Has anyone ever played there?

I've never been to Morocco, so I can't comment on their casinos
or VP inventory. I can tell you that the US State Dept. current
advisory mentions taking precautions against roving gangs of robbers
and roughnecks.
We did visit two casinos in Tunisia, in 2006. I can report that
the VP in both was garbage. Furthermore, nothing about the machines
(or the slot attendants) did much to convince me that they might
be "random either.
I do have my own unofficial advisory for you, which comes from
personal experience. If someone manages to convince you that it
might be a fun idea to ride a camel, make sure, that before you climb
aboard the beast, that the camel has recently moved his bowels! Take
my word for this! (If you don't, EH has a photo he might let you see.)
