I went to Harrahs Vegas for a cash pickup, but my husband got sick so we
picked up the cash and cancelled the room. A host called and said I'm not
allowed to do that - had to have a room to pick up the cash and play. If I did it
again I'd have to pay for room or whatever (it wasn't clear). Didn't seem
to matter to her that I was a heavy player & loser previously.
This only happened one time, because I have had at least one other time
where I did take the room, took the cash or gift, and did not play at other
Harrah's properites. But normally I do play when I have an offer.
Unfortunately Harrah's generally requires you to have a room for offers,
which is dumb when I am staying at my house in Las Vegas. We just went to a
drawing at Caesars. A room was required, so we checked in, played, went to
drawing, and checked out without ever going to the room. Why does Harrah's want
to waste unused rooms?
