Any update on Hard Rock Ft Lauderdale

Thanks everyone for the updates.

We were there this past Sun. In addition to the $1 and $2 FP, there are $5 FP J9/6 JOB, 8/5BP, 9/6 DDB and 15/9 Deuces in the High Limit Slot Area. Drinks are now complimentary in the high Limit area. I spoke with a host and could not get specific comp req. He said to call him for a comped room, suite or show tickets. I'll find out what they're willing to do when I'm back in Dec.

I'm sorry Joseph but you are misinformed.

Years ago Peter Morton sold off the Hard Rock
brand except for the Las Vegas casino / hotel
(not the Hard Rock restaurant next to it). A few
years ago the brand was sold to the Seminole
Indian Nation. Except for Las Vegas, all Hard
Rock restaurants, hotels and casinos are owned by the Seminoles.

The casinos in Hollywood and Tampa Hard Rock are
all owned and operated by the Seminole Nation.
They are also now Class III Indian gaming
properties, meaning that they are permitted to
have Las Vegas-style machines replacing or in
addition to the Bingo-based machines they have had previously.

Hope this helps.

There is indeed Las Vegas style slots at both
the Hollywood (near Ft. Lauderdale) and Tampa
casinos. The casinos are in the process of
changeover from bingo machines to Las Vegas
style slots so you have to be careful. Just
stay away from the machines with bingo cards
displayed on them; they are easy to spot.

The best games that I have found are 9/6 Jacks
or Better and 15/9 Deuces (98.9%). For the most
part, the better games are in the $1.00 or $2.00
denomination. Comps are minimal.

The Hollywood Hard Rock also offers
blackjack. It is expected to start in Tampa
later this year. I do not know what the blackjack rules are.

I received a mailer from the Hard Rock Ft
Lauderdale saying that they now have Las Vegas
style slots. We'll be there this coming weekend
and I was wondering if it was worth the
trip. Is there anything playable there? Can
anyone confirm that the VP no longer has
Gennie's, Match Cards or Bingo Cards? They also
sent me and my wife $50 FP. I have no idea how
they got our name since we have never had a
players card at any Hard Rock Casino.
Thanks
Joel

Updates on casinos that aren't covered in a vpFREE regional
forum should be posted on vpFREE, as you have done.

There isn't any need for a vpFREE Atlantic City forum since the
acvpp Yahoo group VP covers that waterfront.

Which of these 9/6 JoB are MIA?

(5) 25c/50c/$1 MG/MD (Red Face) opposite Xhibition Bar near
women's restroom.

(4) $1/$2 uprights in Diamond Cove.

(5) $1/$2/$5 (10-coin) slant-tops (light blue Double Joker face
plate) between garage escalator and main pit.

(3) $5/$10 slant-tops in Diamond Cove.

Are all of these 25c 9/6 JoB MIA, except for a few near buffet
entrance?

(14) 25c MG (Panel says Joker Poker) near the buffet.

(6) 25c MG uprights (Panel says Joker Wild Poker) between buffet
& box office by the ATM.

(7) 25c MG Multi-Strikes in the video poker area near the buffet.

(8) 25c MG uprights by high energy slots (one side of bank is
8/5, other side is 9/6).

(12) 25c MG (various names on them - including Either way Royals,
Triple Bonus Plus, Draw Poker) These are the next bank up from a
huge sign that says Joker Poker - that bank is all 8/5´s between
B-bar and the new section of the Borgata.

(6) 25c MG uprights just into new section of casino by change
booth.

(10) 25c/50c MG (2 panels say draw poker, 8 say Joker Wild Poker)
just outside of B-bar entrance.

(10) 25c/50c/$1 MG/MD bartops @ the B-bar.
