Any suggestions on locations of low limit bjack to take newbies to

Bringing some absolute newbies to Vegas this weekend and want to sit
them at a bj table where they can make $40 last as long as possible.
They just want the experience of playing.

We slum it at Casino Royale for $2 craps and am hoping to find
something similar for blackjack. Slots a Fun seems good but we'd like
to all sit together and tables are always jammed there. Something near
the strip or downtown is preferred - these ladies aren't the
Western/ElCortez type at all.

Bad rules are fine - but philosophically I would have a hard time
playing at a devil shuffler table. But on a holiday with the NBA in
town I may have to take $10 limits all day and like it !

Thanks for any suggestions

Try the 4 Queens downtown. They have $5 3/2 blackjack with decent
rules.

(They also have 9/6 JoB in nickels too!)

There is a $2 or $3 table at the 4 Queens, but good luck getting one
seat much less a group. The Barbary Coast usually has several $5
tables at all but the busiest times.

This won't help you since I'm assuming you've already left, but you can
generally get cheap tables at the Golden Gate, often as low as $3.
Assuming that most of the players (NBA and otherwise) in town for the
All-Star game won't be hanging out downtown, I would imagine you'll
still be able to find low limits.

Rules aren't great, but if you're playing $3/hand until your $40 is
exhuasted, the difference in rules is more theoretical than anything
else, other than 6/5, of course.

In addition to low limits, I've always found the staff there to be
pretty friendly and most of the other patrons are there for the same
reason - to play $50 worth of blackjack.

And I'll throw in a second on Main Street Station. Low limits, very
friendly staff, and a very pleasant casino.

Sahara used to advertise that they offwe $1 BJ 24 hours a day.
However, I haven't been to that casino in over a year, so times may
have changed.
