Any resistance to strategy charts?

Hey all,

I'm leaving on Sunday for Vegas (from Maine), and am wondering if
anyone has ever been asked by casino employees to not use Strategy
Charts as aids?
I have a couple I want to bring with me, but don't want to use them if
it means they won't let me play. Will probably play in many different
casinos on the strip, but Mandalay is my home base this trip.
Along with this, are there any updates on Mandalay Bay, I checked the
database and it looks like they don't have much for good VP, which is
understandable for a place like this.

Thanks,
~Ian

I have never had a problem with strategy cards. I just keep them in my pocket and refer to them as needed.

Regards
A.P.

I am biting my tongue as I write this....

I use VPSM and have for years. I make my own small laminated card version.

I know that Skip has some excellent small cards as well.

However, I have noticed several individuals lately coming in with 8 1/2 * 11 printed sheets that they wave around like flags. They have definitely drawn attention to themselves.

Some of the other cards also are larger and it appears people struggle to read to determine the exact miniscule difference of some of the plays.

My concern is that people need to be discrete. It is not illegal but flaunting a strategy card seems rather stupid to me.

I was at MS a few months back and actually saw a couple consulting a book on
the 100 plays in Don&Mike's;-) I see absolutely nothing wrong with using a
strategy card (and have used VPSM, FVP, Skip's and Daily/Dancer), but if you
are referring to it too often, it means you don't know/remember the strategy
well enough. I know that I am not at my best if it is convenient for me to
keep the chart out of my pocket while playing.

I have seen people with strategy cards and sheets at both Don and
Mike's and downstairs at the 100-Play and spin .25. I know one of
the "team players" was nervious about this and asked them to be more
discreet about referring to strategy sheets. At Majestic, I think you
would have to use power tools on the machines, big power tools, before
they would notice anything!

I suspect Harrah's EC;-) I have no problem being discrete and when the play
is good enough I guess rather than bring out the strategy card, but
realistically the folks who refer to their strat card the size of a legal
pad are probably the last folks the casino needs to worry about. They may
be a good thing as they are cognizant of paytable, but don't know strategy
very well --The vpFREE dream player;-) I would feel free to curse them to
the extent they bring attention to a casino mistake.

You guessed correctly. Remember when we had NSUD and other good games in the high roller room?
