Any nagging questions I can research?

OK, a couple of HET questions...

Does the Harrahs McDonalds still have a Dollar menu? (The EW one vanished)

How are the Bonus Credits accruing on the Harrahs 50-plays?

What is the current deal through the Total Rewards slot club for the River
Taxi? Discounts or Comped? Does it matter if you are Diamond/Gold?

How are Carol, Carrie and Joe doing in the Diamond Lounge? Do they miss me?

Hi Gang:

I've just returned home from a week in Laughlin at Harrah's. Here's
what I found:

Does the Harrahs McDonalds still have a Dollar menu? (The EW one

vanished)

There is still a small Dollar menu at the HET McD's.

How are the Bonus Credits accruing on the Harrahs 50-plays?

I accrued a little over 2:1 (2 bonus for 1 base) on the fabulous
50s. The extras probably were a result of the longer sessions.

What is the current deal through the Total Rewards slot club for

the River

Taxi? Discounts or Comped? Does it matter if you are Diamond/Gold?

As diamond, I could get half price river taxi tickets--$4.00 for a
round trip to Harrah's. I could get as many as I wanted. Don't know
if you have to be diamond to get them. I'm sure 7* get comps.

How are Carol, Carrie and Joe doing in the Diamond Lounge? Do they

miss me?

Carol and Joe remember and miss you, Bluestreak. Didn't see Carrie.

The big news is that the Belle and EW must have listened to the
complaints. Not that their games are the greatest (nothing over
99.2%), BUT there is abundant 8/5 Bonus, 9/7/5 Double Bonus, and 9/6
Double Double Bonus on their floors now. Best game I spotted was an
8/5 BP $.25 bartop progressive at the River Bar at EW. I also saw a
couple of $.05 8/5 BP machines in play at the top of the escalator by
the restaurants (bank of 10, FP only on the escalator side). I
didn't spend too much time scouting, but BP is everywhere, and the
9/7 DB and 9/6 DDB is generally on the highest denomination of the
multi-denom games. All the deuces I saw were Illinois, and the JoB
was 8/5. It was weird to see the whole area by the Kokopelli lounge
all occupied by slots. They either cleaned or replaced the carpet in
both joints. I didn't play at either place.

RP has a nice promo going with sign up a friend. After 24 hours of
having a card, you can sign up your friends and get their points
added to your account for their first 24 hours. The "earn 50 pts.
and get a $2.99 rib deal" is good, but you truly can't pay with comps.

Harrah's was a big gigantic mess with construction and replacing
carpet in the main casino, but I think they were finishing up in time
for me to leave. As a result, the non-smoking side was busier than
I've ever seen it. It doesn't look good for the main bar to open
early, but the bartop machines were all being installed.

I suffered heavy losses this trip, but my friends seemed to hit
everything good and brought money home. I hit one royal on a $.05
spin poker and one of the bonus SFs on Jacks at Aquarius (450 instead
of 250) but the rest was rather pitiful.

Until next time!
