I lived in CA for 6 years, returning to NJ after the Northridge
earthquake. We'd drive to Laughlin enough so that the car knew the
way. And in the mid 90's, lots of the casinos had free lounge acts.
Even caught the Diamonds there once. What's up these days that might
interest baby boomers?
We'll be staying a couple days in early May.
Any lounge acts/music for seniors in Laughlin?

I am always on the lookout for live tunes. During the week, the
pickings can be rather slim. The Tropicana seems to have the best deal
on free bands going (at least my last trip). They put on bands that
cater to the baby boomer generation. You can also play quarter 8/5 BP
prog. at the bar- what a deal. If that music is too old fashion for
you, head down to the Loser's Lounge at the Riverside. They have more
up to date music.

Mmm. Some good tips have been shared, and I've now found a couple
things I'm interested in for a weekend arrival. Dixieland at CB and
the band at TE Caboose seem worth a listen. Has anyone seen the
Pioneer Sassy Sue's live entertainment? I presume this will be C&W,
but is there any cowboy music? When I go out west (from NJ), I like to
hear some yodelling. I'm crushed I'm missing Riders in the Sky (this
month), but believe it or not, we did seen them here in Joisey.

Well, this 57 year old boomer and his wife still like to rock and
roll. The last time I visited Laughlin (last summer) we stayed at
River Palms, and there was a great rock covers band at the downstairs
lounge (free incidentally), doing music from the 60s through the 90s.
I'm not ready to restrict my musical tastes to stuff played in the 50s
and 60s when I was a little kid/teen, and still listen to contemporary
music.
