Any Info on Mississippi

Hi,
I'm planning a in April to MS. I've never been there but I've read some info
on line and I'm leaning towards the Grand Gulfport. Any info is appreciated.

Which is the most kid friendly place? We'll be bringing our 10 yr old
daughter so info on safety, kids quest, pools, and other kid activities are most
important.

Where is there the best $1 VP? Info on triple plays and progressives would be
great.

Which are the nicest hotels, best amenities and quality of the rooms?

Any info on hosts, requirements for room, RFB, Is a suite an option figuring
on 30K+ per day. I'm also looking for 5 nts. Would I be better off splitting
it between two properties to get the best comps?

Thanks
Joel

The Grand in Gulfport is a good place to stay if you have kids. It
has a really excellent pool area, and of course it has a "kids
quest", where I think the max. age is either 11 or 12. Note that
there are 2 hotels at the Grand. The Oasis is the newer hotel and is
closer to the pool area. The older hotel (don't know what it's
called) is closer to the casino.

At the Grand, you can find NSUD in dollar single line machines, and
9/6 JOB in dollar and 50 cent five line machines. These are multi-
denomination machines with short pay games at the lower
denominations. Cash back for VP is .33%. If your birthday happens
to be in the same month that you visit, you can get double points on
any one day. I don't have any idea how much play per day they would
expect for a room or RFB. I've stayed there several times, but it
has always been on a free room coupon, and not based on same day play.

There is a fairly good selection of dollar VP games in the area. 9/6
JOB progressives are located in about 4 different casinos, for
example. Check the database.

Been awhile since I was there, about 6months, but Treasure Bay (the
big pirate ship) had slant top 9/6 Jacks progressives in .25/
$1/$5 on the first floor.

Casino Magic had quarter 9/6 JB progs upstairs..
