The recent seized video tapes and computer files pointed to targets of
Disneyland in anaheim, the San Francisco Bay Bridge, the Sears bldg in
Chicago and a few other sites. It was reported that Mr. Atta et al spent
some time here in Las Vegas prior to 9/11.
We are, indeed, the symbol of decadence to some peoples as well as an
internationally known city. In addition the Hoover Dam is a possible target.
My two hometowns are Las Vegas and San Diego, both high profile cities with
San Diego also befriending Mr. Atta for almost 3 months prior to 9/11.
Every person must decide how "careful" we want to be in these times. I have
long since stopped going to the New Years Eve crowded celebration on Fremont
Street more because of the rowdiness, broken glass, etc. Large crowds and
big events such as Super Bowl, the World Series, etc. were never my idea of
fun when the TV coverage with instant replay is IMHO the best seat.
If you are playing positvie VP games chances are you won't be in the mega
resort Strip properties. We still have to live life. A little caution never
hurt anyone..relax and have a great time!
