Dolores and I spent a good ten hours at Greektown Casino
yesterday, gambling, drinking and dining. We played mostly quarter
Pick'Em (she played on my card) racking up cash back and food
comp points on the last Double Points Day.
While these are pathetic perks compared to what you get in Vegas,
it's still the best deal we can find in Detroit.
For about seven hours of video poker, I managed to win $200, and
Dolores lost about $150. My day went this way:
Played quarter Pick'Em for two hours, hit a quad and took a break
a $100 up. Put the hundred in the dollar progressive at the upstairs
bar and lost it.
Played more quarter P'E, hit another quad and got up $100 again.
Put that hundred into a dollar P'E machine, hit a couple of full
houses and cashed out $100 plus. Up $200 for the day so far.
Back to quarter P'E where I lost a hundred back. Also dropped
another $100 on dollar P'E. Even for the day. Played quarters for
the rest of the session, hit another quad, got up $200 and quit at
7:00 to go to a comped dinner at the Alley Grill.
I guestimate that I played about 5,000 hands or so of P'E during
this stretch. The strange thing about this was that Dolores, sitting
next to me and also playing Pick'Em during this time, never got one
four-of-a-kind, while I got three.

As usual, I kept score of what big hands I got while playing P'E
all day with these results: (you can compare them with the totals I
got in my "VP AND ME HAVE A VP DAY" post)
