to play a lot on negative machines. There is some

At Palms, and many other LV casinos, EV/hour can be
a lot greater playing a negative game and getting BBC
than playing a positive game and not getting as much
(any) BBC.

That certainly answers my question. I had no idea that The Palms
gave that much CB. When I stayed there a few times, the year they
opened, there was no CB. Perhaps because I am from out of town and
also played positive ev games such as FPDW, FPJW, LD, & 10/6DDB, I
was not eligible for CB.
I did get my room comped for 4 nights, however, and I was satisfied
with that. I also understand from others, that I was lucky to get my
room comped at my level of play ($8000-$10,000 day).

You don't get CB at Palms, except at a reduced rate in the
high-limit room. I referenced BBC, which may only be available
to locals.
