another downgrade..

It's only one machine, but the sole $0.25 8/5 BP at the Hard Rock has been downgraded to 7/5. A quick perusal of the machines on the floor (didn't check the "upper tier" ringing the gaming area) produced NO full pay at denominations up to $2, but I didn't check the multi-play machines.

<sigh> Oh well, I guess it was to be expected when they finally fixed the sole machine so that one could access the rockstar cash screen, which had been broken all summer. I intentionally didn't mention it to the staff knowing that drawing attention would only end the full-pay, and I was correct.

Mr. Thompson, please update the table - and tell Marci and Wendy "bye" for me...:frowning:

Hi big rich...

I was just at the HRH Wednesday. Can you tell me where the 25 cent machine was? There is still one multiline 5 play 8-5 quarter machine near the motorcycle at the entrance.
Unfortunately, I didn't verify it on Wed.
There were multiple dollar multiline 8-5 bonus machines in the high limit area. Unfortunately I didn't play those either. I just killed time playing the 1 cent Star trek machine near the rockstar club. The one farthest from the club. (I think it's rigged to pay off, or at least 100% payback.)

I will update this week.

I also told Wendy about our thread on the website. She got a great kick out of our conversation. I made a special effort to talk to her on Wed. I didn't know your last name so I just said your name.

The last single-line $0.25 8/5 BP was at the machine directly next to the motorcycle down the steps from the entrance and registration desk. My guess is that it was left over in error, since even the machine to the right of it was 7/5. The oversight has been fixed..

I'll check out the multi-line machine, if only to use up my free play. Thanks for the update and thanks for being the monitor at HRH!

P.S. To those disappointed with the deals at HRH, as far as cash back goes, the Hard Rock was actually one of the more generous venues, at least to me as a small time ploppie flea. The cheapos to me are Rampart, Suncoast and Arizona Charlie's (Decatur) - the casinos closest to my home, natch.. The Red Rock had completed the superfecta until this month, when they inexplicably drowned me in free play. I wonder how long that will continue..

Rampart has become a cross between a nursing home and an immigration detention center. There simply is no play there anymore.

Just wondering -- where (and what) are the rest of you far-west side LV players doing, especially $1 players? As frustrated as I am at the Rampart's downsizing both games and mailers, I just don't see where the Suncoast or Red Rock would be any better. Gotta dust off those ten-year-old JOB strategy cards!

Steve,

I'm putting plenty of miles on my car and playing at many of the casinos on Flamingo...but not the Rio!!

I would say more nursing home and less immigrant detention center.
