Jean,
I posted my friend's "worst host" story a few months ago; message #53757. Sue Ihnen really sounds like the worst host ever.
I checked again with my friends, and they confirmed that they never did hear back from anyone at the Edgewater or corporate, which told them (and me) that management not only condones, but SUPPORTS Sue Ihnen's horrible behavior.
Because of this, they've stopped playing there, I've stopped playing there, and I know of at least another dozen fairly large players (by Laughlin standards) who have stopped playing there. Put another way, there's at least $2-$3 Million coin-in that the Edgewater is not getting because of Sue Ihnen. If you consider that the average hold in Laughlin is about 6.2%, this negative experience is probably costing them at least $150,000 per year. (Note, 6.2% of $2 million is $124k, and 6.2% of $3 million is $186k. The $150k I arrived at is a little less than half the average of the range.)
When you're talking to management, you may want to point out that if Sue Ihnen treats just 10 people the way she treated my friends, and if it has the same ripple effect, then Sue Ihnen could single-handedly be costing the Edgewater $1.5 million in revenue annually.
Good luck with your speech - I can't wait to hear how it goes.

Okay, here is everyone's chance to vent their spleen about hosts. One of my
speaking topics at the Isle of Capri (Biloxi) host conference in May is
"Best and Worse Host Stories." I would appreciate some stories about
incidents any of you have experienced with the host system - the good, the
bad, and the ugly!!! It can be long or short. You can e-mail me privately
if you wish although a lot of these probably would be interesting and maybe
helpful for the whole list.
I need these by May 5 - I will be out of e-mail contact after that.
Thanx in advance for your contributions! Remember I need all kinds of
stories, not just the horror ones. I want to know what your "jewel" hosts
do to make you feel special.
