This retirement thing is going to put me in the poor house one of
these days...but not today. Spent yesterday in Detroit at all three
casinos.
I hadn't been to Motor City in a long time so I just had to check
them out. While I was there, I lost a hundred playing 9/6 JB on Spin
Poker. Got $75 ahead, but wanted $100 profit, stayed too long and
lost it all. It doesn't take much of a losing streak at 45 quarters
a shot to break you.

I then played their Pick-a-Pair which is almost Pick'Em Poker.
The pay schedule is:
(99.24%)
10000 RF
1000 SF
500 4
90 FH
75 FL
55 ST
25 3
15 2P
10 9s +
I lost the my first hundred on this game, but won it back on my
next hundred when I hit a quad. Cashed out $25 ahead, but still down
$75 for the day. Lost a hundred playing a progressive 9/6/5 DB game.
Next, it was MGM where I won $55 at the bar playing dollar
Pick'Em. Then lost another hundred playing progressive 9/7/5 DB.

Greektown was next. I won a $100 back playing Bonus Deuces in the
poker room when I hit 5 Aces. Played dollar Pick'em and lost two-
hundred there. Played at the dollar progressive bar and won $125
when I hit a $175 quad.
Lost a hundred on quarter Deuces wild, another hundred playing
9/6 JB and yet another hundred at dollar Pick'Em again. A sane man
probably would have left after this , but not me. I took a beer
break, sat at a slot machine, closed my eyes and play for a while.
Lost another $50 there.
Went back to play my last $100 in dollar Pick'Em and hit a $600
quad to get me just slightly ahead. Was going to leave, but played
another hundred at the bar again and promptly lost it. That's it.
I'm done for the day...almost.
As I started to leave, I put a twenty in a five-times slot
machine and closed my eyes to rest them while I played. I was rudely
awakened when the machine started to make a lot of noise. I had hit
the five-times/five-times/triple bar symbols for 1500 quarters.
Thank you very much. I'll take it and I'm outta here.
