An Atlantis Story

I'm re-aquanting myself with this group after years with a paid site which never updated Reno conditions.

I was new to the Atlantis when a host approached me at the machine, introducing herself and welcoming me aboard. I was playing $1 DB 10/7-400. She was very helpful, boosting me to elite status, putting me on the concierge floor and presenting me with logo gifts. I thought that perhaps she was newly hired and was needing clients. I certainly enjoyed the VIP room and other amenaties offered.

I continued in her care for a couple of years but was eventually approached about my play. It seemed that although my coin-in was fine, I wasn't loosing enough. Nothing had changed except that the 10/7-400 was gone and I had quit pulling my card for selected draws. I had quit doing so because their system seemed to keep your card in memory until a new deal. Now, in thinking it over, I wonder.

I soon thereafter left the Atlantis mainly because their rating system resets your status every year making it difficult for out-of-towners to maintain an elite card. I was going to Reno 3 or 4 times a year then and it wasn't enough. Perhaps, had I kept pulling my card, I would have appeared to be a big looser and been able to stay elite.

BTW, the Eldorado was where I eventually landed and I love it. Although the 10/7 DB seems to be all gone, there is 9/6 JOB Progressive at the bar in the high-roller area. When I was there a month ago the meter was over $6000 and that was the back-up, the primary having been at over $7000.

Without a spell-check, I hesitate to post but I'm sure I'll be forgiven.

No worries on the spell check! good post. I'm thinking Reno is a place I need to get back to. This helps a bunch!
