Any suggestions if your host is a male, recovering alcoholic? I don't think
perfume or wine would be appreciated. I did bring cookies, tho.

For a guy, finding out what her perfume is might be a problem, but
in conversation you can easily find out what kind of wine she enjoys.
There is one host I always bring a gift for. Began with a gift
certificate but as we got to know each other better, I was able to
choose things I knew she liked.
