So far I've taken 8 trips by AMTRAK with destinations to Reno, South Lake
Tahoe & Las Vegas. Have not yet figured out how to practically get to
Laughlin
yet.

I guess the word "practically" means changing trains in L.A. for the Laughlin
connection?

The Southwest Chief runs L.A. to Chi-town, with stops in Barstow, Needles and
Kingman.

The Thruway connection to Vegas, via Laughlin used to be Needles, CA. My
brief tour of the AMTRAK website reveals that this probably isn't true anymore.
It looks like Kingman could be it. This website is really weak when it comes
to all the Thruway connections.

It looks like Williams, AZ is the Thruway connection now for the south rim of
the Grand Canyon and Sky Harbour International (Phoenix) off of the the
Southwest Chief, instead of Flagstaff.

You would think AMTRAK's website would be a tad more thorough. They do have
the Ramada Express casino listed as the Thruway connection in Laughlin.
