Going to Ameristar Kansas City for 3 nights this weekend. Has anyone seen anything new there in the past year? I haven’t been there in quite some time and would love to play some dollar VP or even some quarter 3/5 play on good paytables. Last year I looked everywhere for the $1 9/7 DB machines to the left of the poker room upstairs and couldn’t find them at all. Any help is appreciated!!
Ameristar updates?
The VP in Kansas City is not good at any casino since Isle of Capri downgraded all their full pay machines. Ameristar is no exception, we hardly go there any more. Your best bet at the dollar level may be the progressives in the bar tops. I think there are still some 9/7 DB at the 25 cent level again in the bar top machines.
A couple years ago Pinnacle bought Ameristar and as is the case with most new owners the first thing they did was downgrade and get rid of some VP machines. Most of the progressives are gone, the few full pay quarter multi-play are gone. Mostly available now are short pay machines.
