Ameristar multi games

I see from the Data Base that ameristar has
< 9/6 JoB (99.5%) > 1c/2c/5c (10/50/100 Play)
can anyone tell me how many machines and if they are difficult to get
on.

Here in STL we have 4 50play 1c/2c/5c machines and they are usually
occupied by people playing 1 hand 1 coin and have $1.47 on the
machine, well that might last an hour or two. Then there are 4 50play
5c/10c with 9/7 DB which happens to be the best game in the house
(read 'your lucky in KC) and since they dont have pennies you can
usually get on them.
Anyway thanks for the info you your Multi games, and if any of the
other places have a playable game please share the info

Happy Royals
Jim

These machines are very popular. Plan on a wait during peak
periods. I'm not certain of the number of machines, but I'd guess
around 12. They are located on the second level between the main
staircase and a pit of blackjack tables.

I sent Jim a private reply on the number machines. Here it is for
the rest of the folks in the forum:

There are TEN 100-play 1c/2c/5c machines (I love these things!)
There are EIGHT 10-play 5c machines.
There are THREE 50-play machines, probably 1c/2c/5c

During the work week, I have found that if I hustle to get off work
right at 5 and get to the casino before 5:30, there might be 1-2 free
100-play machines. I guess there is a late afternoon lull while some
folks eat dinner? But hockey is right, the machines (especially the
100 play) are very popular and there is usually a wait.

Interesting mix of news from Harrah's KC.

The six Bally GameMakers that were along the escalator on the upper
level have been put back out on the floor. They are now in the Video
Poker Zone. Here's the weird thing: ALL the short pay games that
were very popular (Triple Trouble, Keno, Deuces Wild, DB 9/6, JOB
8/5) have been removed and the only games left on the menu are
Pick'em and All American!

Nearly all the dollar AA machines are gone. The row of six "old,
green" machines along the wall have been replaced with Game Kings
that have Pick-A-Pair on them. (Pick-A-Pair is what IGT calls
Pick'em). Furthermore, the two dollar GameMakers that were near the
High Limit area on the first floor are also gone.

Here's the weirdest news of all. The High Limit Area used to have 5
Game Kings with various $5 progressives on them. Three of those are
gone. They've been replaced with new Bally GameMakers with...drum
roll, please...$5 All American. Yes, with the 100.72% pay scale. Be
still, my beating heart.

So here's the final AA tally for Harrah's KC:

15 .25 machines
3 $1 machines
3 $5 machines

PS Now if we can only get those idiots in the MO legislature to get
rid of the $500 loss limit rule.

Carlos,

Thanks for the update. We have been in the Southwest for the winter and haven't been keeping up on the local casinos. We hit many casinos on our sojourn and left money in all of them. :frowning: Anyway it is good to get back to familiar surroundings and familiar casinos (and maybe the luck will change).

I've updated the Harrah's DataBase page using the recent
reports: <http://members.cox.net/vpfree/M_HarK.htm>.

Let me know if it doesn't look right.

Thanks for all the feedback,

vpFREE Administrator

VPFree Administrator - My last update was inaccurate in several
details and you can simply remove it from the database if you want.
My apologies. I will go into Harrah's KC when the casino is not so
busy so I can poke around on the machines and check things more
thoroughly.

I believe someone was asking about $1 AA machines. There are lots of
them. At least six of the consoles with PE and AA are now multi-
denomination: .25/.50/$1. Again, I will visit again soon (probably
today, but I have ton of stuff to do at work first) and post all the
details.
