Amazing Day for Quadzilla

I was sitting next to Quadzilla today at the Palms. Right before I arrived,
Quadz hit a Royal and shortly after I sat down, he hit the deuces on the same
machine. We played the remainder of the afternoon and during this short
period of time, he hit a royal again. Before the afternoon ended, he had hit
two royals and two sets of deuces on the same machine in about two hours
time. If that was not a big enough payday, he hit a Royal at Fiesta Rancho
this morning. Way to go Quadz!!!!! Shirl in Las Vegas who remains Royaless.

If anyone from the Palms is reading this, they certainly know who he

Now this clearly is cause to avoid play at the Palms. Such an
anomalous result must mean that the machines are "gaffed" --
presumably a ruse to get hundreds of others to play their fingers to
the bone to get similar results on machines that have likely been
tampered with to skew results in the opposite direction.

And this probably doesn't need mention, but we could all take a hint
from the Lizard's sage advice. (Whoever that may be

Shirl, just hang in there. It's just a matter of time before you break the
barrier. Somewhere at the end of the VP road, all of us will have stories
to tell of both the long dry spells AND the "quad" royal/deuce days. It
seems that both good and bad luck comes in "streaks".

I believe the Palms is able to monitor the amount of play of all players via
the slot card club. I'm a visitor who gets to Las Vegas six or seven times
a year and I was lucky enough to get two royals and a couple of quad deuces
in one afternoon at the Palms in July. I'm not sure that is such a rare
occurrence. Get two $12,500 sequential royals in the same afternoon and I
think you will be on the Palms radar screen for a while!

The issue isn't a question of monitoring someone's activity. Without
belaboring it, someone who chooses to participate here under a pen
name may have done so with specific intentions. It's not appropriate
to potentially compromise that anonymity, although I'm sure only the
best intentions were behind Shirl's post.

Way to go, QZ. Don't spend it all in one place.
Shirl, time to get some of your own.
