Alize now has a fixed price $45 meal - the first time this high end
restaurant with such a fantastic view has a bargain-priced menu. For those with
more money, they also have a great 5 or 7 course Tasting menu. We ate the
7 course meal tonight ($125 per person). You can also have a wine pairing
for an extra $100-125 or so (can't remember the exact amount). The 7
course tasting menu was the best meal we've had at Alize, and we've had some
excellent meals there in the past. Of course there is also the usual ala
carte menu.
The view of the strip is fantastic, and if you go at about 6:30 p.m. you
can experience daylight over Vegas, sunset, and darkness with the lights of
the strip.
If you use OLD POINTs for a comp, they can call down for you, so you don't
have to go downstairs for a comp. Be sure to emphasize old points, or they
may accidentally take new points.
The current Palms mailers for July have 20% off for Alize - a real bargain
for this top-notch French restaurant.
This is a great place for fine dining, celebrate a birthday or some other
occasion, or to take friends for dinner. The view of the strip from this
restaurant at the top of the Palms in unsurpassed.
The service is also excellent. I was able to add tips to the bill and use
comps, but you may or may not be able to do this - doesn't hurt to ask.
Figure about $100 a person if you order from the ala carte menu and choose
appetizers, main course, and desert (of course you can go higher if you
choose more expensive items such as the $67 dover sole). We've never had a
bad meal here. I've also sometimes just ordered several appetizers instead
of a main course since they are really great. Souffle lovers will find the
one served here to be excellent.
They also have an excellent selection of wine - but it isn't cheap - often
$80 and up for a bottle - but the selection is really great.
